JOHNNY RAMON
“Hello everyone my name is Jonny Ramon & and I am originally from the Salinas valley near Monterey. I grew up in a place called King City that John Steinbeck wrote about in Grapes of Wrath. At age 18 I went onto play college baseball at Hartnell JC before receiving my AA in psychology and transferring to Point Loma in 2018. I made it into Point Loma solely based off academics and knew I wanted to focus mainly then on my education and career in the halls of academia. I studied psychology for my undergraduate schooling and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2020. During the heart of the pandemic is when we had our drive up graduation at the school on Sunset Cliffs in San Diego. During 2020-2021 everything was closed in the city and it was difficult for me to find work. After many months, I landed my first job at the Henry in Coronado. I went from being a busser to then a runner and finally almost a server before passing my first insurance exam at the age of 22 and starting in property and casualty with Allstate. Between the two jobs I have had in my 20s I was able to author and publish my first work on Amazon which is about what I discovered to be the meaning of life from age 0-25, specifically for men in adolescence and early adulthood. I am now close to publishing my second book about a political prophecy of the future that is based off and draws similarities and parallels to the world renowned novel 1984 written by George Orwell. 2 years later I was recruited to Bankers’s life in Rancho Bernardo to work on the other side of the insurance world in disability, health, sickness & life and have been there ever since. I live in Point Loma and surf & skate now weekly. I play baseball on the weekends now in an adult league and I am in the ministry part time with school beginning in the fall at cal western school of law. It is a very trying time in my life and I plan to find a wife and have a family here in the near future God willing. The Lord has been very good to me since He found me in the summer of 2019. Not a day goes by now where I don’t acknowledge all He has done and continues to do through me in my short 27 years of life.
